Lynchburg, VA - Hollins University Basketball at Randolph College, January 28, 2012 After picking up a win at Emory & Henry on Tuesday night, the Hollins basketball team went back on the road looking for a repeat victory at Randolph College. Hollins had defeated the WildCats earlier in the season and came into the ODAC matchup looking for their sixth conference win. After trading baskets to start the game, Hollins began to build a lead during the first half. Hollins stretched out the lead to as many as nine en route to taking a six point halftime edge. Randolph came out in the second frame and was able to cut the lead to three before Hollins seized control of the game. Hollins built the lead to as many as 17 late in the game and went on to a 72-59 victory. The win brought Hollins record to 6-7 and has them currently sitting in sixth place in the ODAC. Lacie Forrest (Richmond, VA/Meadowbrook) led the way for Hollins with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. Jasmine Greene (Hampton, VA/Tabb) and Lauren Morris (Morehead, NC/Croatan) joined Forrest with double-double efforts. Greene scored 18 points to go with her 11 rebounds while Morris added 18 points and a game high 12 caroms. Racheal Crowder (Buena Vista, VA/Perry McClure) and Lauren Hays (Saginaw, TX/Boswell) scored five points apiece. Brianna Lowry led the WildCats with 17 points. Courtney Bouchard scored 10 while Jensen Hoover added eight. Hollins will go for three in a row at home on Tuesday night when Washington & Lee comes to town.
