Box Score

Riding a three game winning streak, Hollins took a 7-7 ODAC record on the road for a showdown with Bridgewater College on Thursday night.  The Eagles just nipped Hollins earlier in the season when they hit a three pointer at the buzzer to take the first match-up.  Hollins stuck first, scoring the opening basket of the game.  Bridgewater quickly took control and pushed the lead to seven early in the first half.  Hollins battled back and the game was tied with 11 minutes left in the first frame.  The Eagles re-took control, leading by as many as 12, and led by 10 at the break.  Hollins needed to come out of the break and keep the game close but Bridgewater didn't let the visitors trim the lead.  The Eagles pushed the lead to 27 with eight minutes remaining but Hollins wouldn't go quietly.  Hollins started to cut the lead and at the two minute mark, Hollins had cut nine points off the home team's cushion.  Hollins could get no closer and fell to Bridgewater, 46-67.

Hollins again was led by the backcourt duo of Jasmine Greene (Hampton, Tabb) and Lacie Forrest (Richmond, VA/Meadowbrook).  Greene scored a team high 15 points while Forrest added 10.  Brandi Chesne (Hammond, LA/Northlake Christian) came off the bench to score nine points and Chanci Wright (Eden, TX/Eden) grabbed a team high eight rebounds.

Jessica Mullen, the ODAC's leading scorer, led the Eagles with 18 points.  Mullen added seven rebounds and five assists.  Kelsey Taylor registered a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Hollins will be back in action on Saturday when they play the first of a three game home stand.  Hollins will host Lynchburg College at 4:00 and the game can be seen live on the web on First Team Broadcasting.
