Roanoke, VA - Hollins University Basketball vs Roanoke College January 31, 2010

Playing down three players, Hollins only dressed eight players when they hosted ODAC leading Roanoke College on Sunday afternoon.  The game had been pushed back due to the inclement weather the day before.  Short on players and short in the paint, Hollins played a spirited first half and trailed but just nine at the break.  Roanoke's size and deep bench wore down Hollins in the second half and the visitors went on to a 69-44 ODAC win.

Jasmine Greene (Hampton, VA/Tabb), left, scored a game high 25 points.  Greene also grabbed seven rebounds and came up with five steals.  Tamara Phillips (Roanoke, VA/Lord Botetourt) scored 11 and recorded two blocks and came up with four steals before fouling out late in the game.  Lacie Forrest (Richmond, VA/Meadowbrook) and Candace Berra (Buchanan, VA/James River) each scored four for Hollins.

Post players Kylie Lucas, Jordan Gholson, and Nicci Moats combined for 32 points, 19 rebounds, and two blocks to lead the way for Roanoke.  The Maroons posted a 55-27 advantage on the boards including 23-4 on the offensive end.

Hollins will host Guilford College on Tuesday night.  The game will tip at 7:00pm.
