Less than 24 hours after traveling to face ODAC leading Eastern Mennonite, Hollins was back in action as they hosted Peace College. Hollins was looking for their third straight home win after defeating ODAC foes Emory & Henry and Randolph. Both teams struggled to find the basket in the first five minutes but then the home team found their legs and started to pull away. Leading 11-6 at the twelve minute mark, Hollins went on a 25-6 run over the next 10 minutes and built a 24 point lead late in the half. Peace responded with six straight points but Hollins enjoyed a 36-18 halftime lead. The two teams traded baskets for the first half of the second frame. At the 9:30 mark, Peace started to rally and cut the lead to nine with just over four minutes left to play. Hollins regrouped and turned back the Pacers in the final few minutes to secure the 64-49 non-conference win.

Jasmine Greene (Hampton, VA/Tabb), the ODAC's leading scorer, led the way with a game high 15 points. Greene added five rebounds, four assists, and a steal while Brandi Chesne (Hammond, LA/Northlake Christian) came off the bench to score 12 and pull down six rebounds. strong>Lacie Forrest (Richmond, VA/Meadowbrook) scored eight while ripping down 11 rebounds. Molly Tahmaseb (Greensboro, NC/Northern Guilford) had nine points and fellow post player Chanci Wright (Eden, TX/Eden) tallied eight points to go with her seven rebounds. Hollins post players outscored their counterparts from Peace 36-16.

Callie Yohn scored 14 points to go with her 13 rebounds and two blocked shots to lead the visitors. Krystal Williams added 13 points while Crystal Alston scored nine.

Hollins will take their 2-1 ODAC record on the road for their final game of the semester next Wednesday. Hollins will travel to Lexington to face Washington & Lee. The game is scheduled to tip at 6:00pm.
