Mandi McDade '15 |
Athlete of the Week - September 5, 2011 First year Mandi McDade from the Volleyball team is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the week. McDade, a 6'0" middle blocker from Eustis FL, helped lead Hollins to a 3-1 week. After an early week loss at Averett, Hollins came home to win three matches, all sweeps, in less than 24 hours. During the week, Mandi recorded 37 kills, one assist, 12 service aces, five total blocks and 40 digs. Her effort earned McDade a spot on the ODAC Weekly Honor Roll for Volleyball. Included in her kills was the first double digit kill match of her young Hollins career, 15 against Mary Baldwin. Mandi is majoring in Psychology while at Hollins.
