Athlete of the Week - January 2, 2012

Jasmine Greene of the basketball team is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week.  The Hollins basketball team came back from the holiday break with three ODAC games last week.  Hollins came into the second semester with a 3-1 league mark.  Hollins lost to Guilford and then fell on a last second shot to Bridgewater before going on the road and upsetting Lynchburg College.  For the week Greene scored 62 points to go with 19 rebounds, 17 assists, and eight steals.  Jasmine currently leads the ODAC in scoring and assists while she ranks 2nd in steals.  After a 26 point effort against Bridgewater, Greene became just the 10th Hollins player to surpass the 1,000 mark in her career.  With a season and a half remaining, Jasmine is on pace to become the all-time leading scorer in Hollins basketball history.
