Athlete of the Week - August 29, 2011 Ally Reed, and 5'9" outside hitter on the volleyball team, has been named Student Athlete of the Week. The Hollins University Volleyball Team opened their season last weekend with a trip to the Virginia Beach area for five matches. After a match at Christopher Newport, Hollins played four matches in the Virginia Wesleyan Invitational. Junior Ally Reed from Sterling, VA, led the way for Hollins. For the weekend, Reed posted team highs in Kills (40), Digs (67), and Service Aces (9). Ally is majoring in International Studies while at Hollins. Congratulations Ally and GO GREEN!!!
