Athlete of the Week - October 19, 2009

Katie Furches is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week.  The senior form Olney, PA is one of the leading riders on the Hollins Riding team.  This past Sunday Katie placed second over the fences and finished first on the flat at the Hollins IHSA show. On the back of those two finishes, Furches was recognized as the High Point Rider for the event.  Katie is majoring in Business while working on a minor in Psychology.  The entire riding program including coaches, horses and her fellow riders are her favorite things about Hollins.
