Athlete of the Week - April 26, 2010 The Hollins Tennis Team has been named as the Hollins Student Athlete of the Week. This past weekend Hollins traveled to Lexington to compete in the 2010 ODAC Women's Tennis Championships. Hollins went in as the #2 seed, behind only ODAC and national power Washington & Lee. Hollins swept Guilford 9-0 in the quarter-final round and then, despite trailing 2-1 after Doubles, went on to beat Sweet Briar, 6-3, to advance to the finals. Hollins played the generals tough but were unable to finish their championship run. At the tournament the post season ODAC awards were announced. Karen Montoya was named ODAC Rookie of the Year while junior Sarah Budrus was awarded the ODAC Women's Tennis Scholar Athlete of the Year. Congratulations Tennis Team and GO GREEN!!!
