Athlete of the Week - January 11, 2009

Sage Otto is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week.  The first year swimmer from Hampton, VA has earned the honor for the second time this season.  Last weekend Sage unselfishly swam outside of her normal events when she competed in the distance events, 500 and 1000, in a tri match with Gallaudet and Salem.  She earned a first place finish against Salem College in the 100 and despite a slow start dug deep to finish second in the 500 against both schools.  Otto also was a member of the relay team that placed first in the 200 Freestyle relay.  Sage set a personal best in her leg of the relay.
