Alumnae are by far Hollins' most persuasive and effective recruiters. And as an incentive, the Alumnae Association introduced a new scholarship to help alumnae refer prospective students to Hollins. The Alumnae Recognition Scholarship provides a $500 tuition grant to every full-time undergraduate student who applies, is accepted, and enrolls at Hollins, and whose first contact with the Admissions Office is through a Hollins alumna. This referral form must be submitted before or at the time of the student's application. For more information about how alumnae can help recruit students for Hollins, contact the admissions office at (800) 456-9595 or huadm@hollins.edu and ask about the alumnae referral program.

Through Hollins Abroad programs in London and Paris, daughters (or sons, sisters, brothers, cousins, or friends' children) who are attending other colleges can study in England or France and get a flavor of the inimitable Hollins experience. Hollins Abroad programs accept visitor students from other colleges and universities across the country. Among them are Caroline Rogers (College of William and Mary, daughter of Claudia Cassidy Lane '74), who went to Paris, and Patrick Layng (Trinity University, brother of Mary Layng '93 and Susan Layng '98), London. For more information, contact Kirsten McKinney at (800) 511-6612 or kmckinney1@hollins.edu.
