Problems logging in?

Error message: "This page cannot be displayed either due to technical difficulties from the website, or you need to adjust your browser settings."

Possible solutions:

Make sure you're using the recommended browser

Make sure you have not disabled "pop-ups" on your computer.
Anti-pop-up applications installed on your computer may interfere with Connect@Hollins.

Try to log in using a different computer.
This may sound like a long shot, but sometimes it works!

Our database may be down.
The information in Connect@Hollins is live from our database. If our database goes down, Connect@Hollins is also down. This happens rarely, but it could be the reason for your problem. Please come back and try again later.

Our web server may be down.
This situation is temporary if it does occur. Please check back at another time.


Error message: "Invalid user ID or PIN."

Possible solutions:

  • Include the leading zeros or the leading "A" or "@" if you have them in your ID. DO NOT enter dashes or hyphens.
  • Enter numbers only for your PIN.
  • You may be locked out for attempting to log in too many times and failing. Contact us at mmoore2@hollins.edu or (800) 846-5371 for assistance. When contacting us, please provide your full name, class year, major, and birth date.
  • "NUM LOCK" is off on your keyboard. You need to have "NUM LOCK" on so that you can type in your ID and PIN. The "NUM LOCK" key is above your keypad and should have a light that indicates it is on.
  • You may be using the wrong User ID. Please contact us at mmoore2@hollins.edu or (800) 846-5371 to confirm your ID. When contacting us, please provide your full name, class year, major, and birth date.
  • We may have a different number set up for your PIN other than your birth date. Please contact us at mmoore2@hollins.edu or (800) 846-5371 to confirm. When contacting us, please provide your full name, class year, major, and birth date.
  • We may have your birth date incorrect in our records. Please contact us at mmoore2@hollins.edu or (800) 846-5371 to confirm. When contacting us, please provide your full name, class year, major, and birth date.

Error: A blank page or no page comes up at all when you click on the link for Connect@Hollins.

Possible solution: If you are using a PC, you may need to install the latest “critical updates” for Windows. Go to this site to download the updates your computer needs (it will detect which updates your computer needs): http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp. You may also want to install the “recommended updates” as well.
