Academic and need-based awards

Scholarship	Amount	Eligibility Criteria
Betty Trinkle Freeman	$500 to $1,500	Academic standing and need
Lucy Hazlegrove	$500 to $1,000	Academic standing and need
William Randolph Hearst	$500 to $2,000	First-year student with demonstrated need and demonstrated previous academic success
Phi Theta Kappa	Up to $2,000 per year	This scholarship is designed for students who transfer to Hollins from another college and who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
Endowed Scholarships	$1,000 to 10,000	Eligible need-based students. Scholarships are based on major, residence, leadership, and/or academic success.
Alumnae Recognition Scholarship	$500	Provides a one-time, one-year $500 grant to the student who is referred by an alumna and whose first contact with Hollins is through an alumna. The referral form must be submitted before or at the time of the student's application.

Note: You will be awarded the highest scholarship for which you apply.
