You will be awarded the largest amount for which you qualify. Academic Excellence Scholarships will not be combined with Outstanding Achievement Awards.

| Batten Scholar |
Up to $100,440 (Up to $25,110 each year for four years) |
• Submit your admissions application by January 10.
• The top-ranking students who qualify for the Hollins Scholar Award (described below) will be invited to campus to compete for full-tuition scholarships on February 24-25, 2008.

| Hollins Scholar Award |
Up to $72,000 (Up to $18,000 each year for four years) |
• Submit your admissions application by February 1.
• Those students who have a minimum combined 1100 on Math and Critical Thinking (ACT 24) and a 3.25 GPA may be eligible for the Hollins Scholar Award. Hollins determines the award amount by creating an index that shows how each student’s academic performance compares to other applicants.
• Award amounts typically start at $9,000 annually. Those with exceptional GPAs and test scores may receive scholarships up to $18,000 per year.
• All award recipients will be invited to campus on March 10, 2008 to celebrate their academic achievement with Hollins faculty and staff.
• Students who do not receive a Hollins Scholar Award may be eligible for an Outstanding Achievement Award. Contact your admissions counselor for more information (call 800-456-9595 or e-mail huadm@hollins.edu).

This scholarship is designed for students who transfer to Hollins from a two-year college and who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. |

Transfer students with a combined college GPA of 3.25 and 15 transferable credit hours are eligible to receive awards ranging from $5,000 to $9,000 per year. Hollins determines the award amount by creating an index that shows how each students academic performance compares to other applicants.
