The best way to know whether Hollins is right for you is to visit — spend the night, attend a class, meet our students, and explore the campus.

2015 Admission Events

February 6: Scholarship Competition Day

Audition for dance, music, and theatre scholarships; discuss your creative writing, art, photography or film portfolios with faculty members; participate in an evaluative process for the Robertson Leadership awards; interview with faculty members for Science and Math Awards; attend classes; and meet current students.

February 22-23: Scholarship Competition Days (overnight)

Audition for dance, music, and theatre scholarships; discuss your creative writing, art, photography or film portfolios with faculty members; participate in an evaluative process for the Robertson Leadership awards; interview with faculty members for Science and Math Awards; attend classes; and meet current students.

February 15-16: Batten Scholarship Program (overnight)

On Sunday, students interview for four-year, full-tuition Batten Scholarships. Afterward, participants meet their hostesses and attend a social event in downtown Roanoke. By invitation only.


March 8: Equestrian Visit Day

Limited to approximately 40 participants. Includes riding and instruction from one of our coaches. Hear current riders talk about their experience, and learn about pre-vet and other academic opportunities.

April 3: Spring Visit Day for Sophomores and Juniors

Half-day program when you can hear from faculty members, current students, and staff members about study abroad, the Hollins Short Term, Batten Leadership Institute, our Career Compass program, and social life.


April 11: Admitted Student Day

Enjoy coffee at the home of President Nancy Gray, then attend workshops led by Hollins faculty members and students to learn more about life on campus. Meet with an admission or a financial aid counselor to ask any questions you have about Hollins.


April 13: Spring Visit Day for Sophomores, Juniors, and Transfers

Half-day program when you can hear from faculty members, current students, and staff members about study abroad, the Hollins Short Term, Batten Leadership Institute, our Career Compass program, and social life.


April 17: Admitted Student Day

A second program, for admitted students who can’t attend the April 11 event. Enjoy coffee at the home of President Nancy Gray, then attend workshops led by Hollins faculty members and students to learn more about life on campus.
