GOOGLE UNCLESAM

Cut down on the results from an ordinary search engine! To www.google.com, just add /unclesam, (lower case.)
Results: only sites that end in .gov (federal govt.), .mil (military), .us (state govt.)

Example: search for ěcampaign finance reformî. Results:

  • legal documents
  • news releases from White House Press Office
  • statements by legislators who are dealing with this issue
    ( what you've filtered out: commercial sites, postings from newsgroups, other possibly dubious material.)

Example #2: ěTruman Doctrineî (VUS 12B) Results:

  • transcript of Truman's statement to Congress
  • the original document


Last tip: find materials specifically designed for government education!
Try ěeducation materials market economyî . Results: useful items for (GOVT. 15.)
