Support Services and Training

The purpose of the Help Desk is to give the campus community--students, faculty, and staff--one number to call for computer needs. Help with supported computer software or network problems is available from the Help Desk and Computer Resource Center assistants during weekdays and at designated times on weekends. Hardware problems for student owned computers should be directed to the manufacturer if the computer is under warranty or to a 3rd party computer repair service if it is not.

Trained student assistants will be attending the help desk, along with a second level of support provided by members of the Computing Services staff. A call-tracking system is in place that helps determine recurring problems with hardware or software, training needs, upgrade needs, etc. We will make every effort possible to quickly resolve every request placed through the Help Desk. Please help us make this a success; call the Help Desk instead of individuals in Computing Services when you need help.

The Banner Support Line offers support for users of the administrative Banner system.
